Eurovia 2026 Quality League Table

Overview

Each Eurovia 2026 job receives a composite quality score (0-100) based on five dimensions, using per-material temperature specifications from the HDS material limits database. The league table ranks UK regions by a combination of average job performance, HDS kit utilization, and job volume — rewarding regions that complete more jobs at good quality, not just those with a small number of perfect jobs.

1. Temperature Compliance (30%)

Uses per-material temperature specifications from the HDS material limits CSV. Each material type has its own min/max paver temperature and minimum roller temperature range.

• Per-material specs examples: ULTILAYER S 14 PMB: 160-190°C/130°C roller | HRA 35/14 PMB: 150-190°C/110°C roller | WARM AC 20 HDM: 110-150°C/90°C roller
• Data quality: temperatures >300°C filtered as data entry errors
• If no eLoad temp data but eTec exists: partial credit (40)
• Fallback for unknown materials: 130-190°C paver, 100°C min roller

2. Weather Conditions (10%)

Lower weighted — weather is partially outside the contractor's control. From eTec paver-mode ambient_temp, wind_speed, rainfall (mm/h) data.

• Frost (highest impact): min ambient < 0°C → laying in frost, -20 per day
• Heavy rain (high impact): >15% of eTec records at >1mm/h or any >4mm/h, -12 per day
• Moderate rain (low impact): >5% of records at >1mm/h, -3 per day
• High wind (minimal): max wind speed > 40 km/h, -2 per day

3. Surface Regularity & Texture (15%)

From LSE and VPT survey data where available. Currently no Eurovia 2026 survey data — weight redistributed to other components.

4. Efficiency (25%)

• Load efficiency: avg_load_size / 20t × 100 (20t = full 8-wheeler capacity)
• Throughput: tonnes_per_day / target (500t/day for major roads, 200t/day for urban)
• Urban leniency: smaller jobs get a lower throughput target and +5 bonus points

5. Kit Usage (20%)

Checks which HDS field systems recorded data for the job:

• eLoad GPS (unload site location coordinates populated)
• eTec (paver temperature + weather data matched by date)

Note: Survey equipment (LSE/3DTD) excluded. Optrix excluded (absent region-wide for Eurovia).

6. Volume (20% of Region Score)

Regions that complete more jobs earn a higher volume score, using logarithmic scaling.

• 2 jobs → 28 | 10 jobs → 60 | 30 jobs → 86 | 50 jobs → 98 | 74+ jobs → 100
• A region with 2 perfect-quality jobs cannot outrank a region with 100 good jobs

Region Composite Score

Kit utilization = jobs with eLoad site data / total booked jobs.

Material Temperature Specs

Sourced from HDS material_limits.csv. Per-material min/max paver and min roller temperatures for Tarmac (Eurovia's supplier) products. Description-based fuzzy matching handles minor naming variations.
